I can’t write about myself in third person (“George is getting upset!”), so I’m going to stick with the basics and promise that they come straight from the horse’s mouth. I can’t believe I just called myself a horse. Okay, basically I am the parent of two boys, wife to one man (I’m sure my MIL is relieved to hear that), graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in biology, and now the author of a book on parenting a child with a major congenital heart defect (CHD). I also love wine, and pumpkin coffee, and the holidays, and reading, and football and any kind of music, as long as it’s good.
HI! I was reading your story and saw John Hopkins. We live in Cecil County. We go to AI in Wilmington, DE for our pediatric cardiologist. My oldest was born with a vsd- repaired at 7 weeks. Your little man looks awesome!
Thanks Christina! Is your child doing well after the VSD repair?
Yes, he’s perfect! You wouldn’t know it if you didn’t see his scar 🙂
Hi Jennifer. I am a librarian in the Family Resource Library at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, and I would love to buy your book for our library. Is there a paper copy available to purchase?
